Nepal is a small country enclosed in the South by the plain of the Ganges and in the North by the Himalayan high mountains. Contact point between the Chinese and Indian civilizations, it consists of 40 ethnic groups with more than 70 languages. It was a monarchic and multicultural democracy.

Nepal is the only State to the officially Hindu world (more than 90 % of the population) but the Buddhism (6 %) and the Islam (3 %) are also practised. The religious tolerance and the harmony which we find there, there makes maybe a unique example for the world.
